2023 West Virginia Al-Anon Conference Scrapbook

Whether you live here or near West Virginia or are just visiting, Al-Anon Family Groups offer you a warm welcome!

If you are new to Al-Anon, please attend one of our meetings for your free newcomer packet.

If you are a long-timer, we look forward to hearing some of your experience, strength, and hope.

The Al-Anon program is based on 12 Steps adapted from Alcoholics Anonymous which we apply to our lives, one day at a time. Although a separate entity, we cooperate with AA, and consider it an important resource for understanding alcoholism. In the spirit of cooperation rather than affiliation, here is the website of Alcoholics Anonymous World Service, Inc. http://www.aa.org/

If you would like to talk to someone to learn more about Al-Anon, please call 1-888-490-1970.

Q: My friend/loved one is a drug addict. Can I come to an Al-Anon meeting?
A: The primary focus of Al-Anon is to solve the common problems experienced by families and friends of alcoholics. However, you are welcome to attend Al-Anon to see if you can relate to what people talk about, and then decide if the Al-Anon program might be helpful to you.
